Methodology
To the preceding section: Objectives
The methodology of the project is as follows:
- Develop computational means to design and optimize active acoustic liners, coupling different physics:
- Engine nacelle acoustic environment, including flow
- Arrays of electroacoustic membrane absorbers (fluid-structure interactions)
- Electronic control (local and distributed active impedance control loops)
- Investigate new transducers technology for better compliance to environmental specifications
- Investigate alternative active impedance control strategies to tackle multiple harmonic noise reduction, towards low-frequency
- Develop 2D (flat) and 3D (curved) acoustic liner prototypes for laboratory and aeroacoustic facilities assessment (NLR test facility, PHARE)
